Airfield Ailertchen (german: Flugplatz Ailertchen, ICAO: EDGA) is a small airport in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
The airfield was built between 1934 and 1939, when the Luftwaffe ordered an operational airfield (german: Einsatzflughäfen) here.
At the time the airfield was about 4 times larger; about 1,000x1,000meters with a grass surface.
Between 30 March 1945 and 30 April 1945 the airfield was used by the USAAF as a Supply and Evacuation airfield, coded Y-81.
It was undamaged when it fell into American hands.
The Americans designated it as an airfield for Rehabilitaion, Marking and Maintenance.
They used C-47s, and photo-reconnaissance Mustangs and Lightnings from the airfield which had what they caled a 'sod' (unhardened, probably grass) runway.
The airfield was abandoned just before wars end, because the front had moved on eastward.

After the war the airfield was rebuilt to support sports aviation.
It was significantly downsized, and a new hangar and tower were built.
Today it remains open as a small airfield.
