Air field Åmsele (Swedish: Fält 41 Åmsele or F 41 Åmsele, ICAO: ESUA) was a military airfield 585 kilometers north of Stockholm
The airfield was built in 1959-1960 under the Bas-60 airbase plan.
Although it was a military airfield it was not activated permanently.
The airfield consisted of the main base with a runway with QRA pads on each end.
Originally one of the satelllites for F 21, it ended up with F 15 (Söderhamn) in 1975.
Between 1984 and 1987 the airfield was converted for use under the Bas-90 airbase plan, for which three highway strips were added in the immediate vicinity.

No photos of the airfield while in use have been located

The airfield became part of F 21 again, but was soon passed on to F 4.
F 4 maintained the base until 2000.
It was then put up for disposal and acquired by a private company.
Judging from the number of hits on Google and Youtube it is currently mostly used for car and motor sports.

This aerial overview of the extensive complex in 2008 shows the airfield is still intact (Google Earth).
