Barkava air field is an abaondoned airfield 153 kilometers east of Riga, Latvia.
The airfield was built by the Soviet Union in the 1975-1985 timeframe. It was used for agricultural activities by state-run Aeroflot and consisted of a small runway, and a medium sized platform to the southeast of the runway.
No photos of the airfield while in use have been located
MyAirfields listed the airfield as 'Good' in May 2017, stating: "Former agricultural airfield in relatively good condition, surrounded by flat fields and clean approaches. Runway has many cracks with growing grass, however it is not rough."
The airfield is uncertified however and therefore officially closed to all traffic.
