Birzgale air field name was an airfield 51 kilometers southeast of Riga, Latvia.
The airfield was built by the Soviet Union in the 1975-1985 timeframe. It was used for agricultural activities by state-run Aeroflot. It consisted of a small runway, and a small platform halfway and to the north of the runway.
No photos of the airfield while in use have been located

A hangar-like building at the platform is now being used for agricultural storage.
Latvian Airfields described the airfields condition in 2010 as: Many approach obstacles and bad surface quality of the runway. Airfield is located on a hill, can be seen from far distance by two masts and Birzgale town SE of the field. Usable for emergency landings, for all other cases not recommended. The desciption at MyAirfields was similar in 2013.
The airfield is uncertified meaning it is officially closed to all taffic. The general condition of the airfield is average, although it appears to be relatively intact.
