Indra air field was an airfield 240 kilometers southeast of Riga, Latvia, and 7.5 kilometers from the border with Belarus.
The airfield was built by the Soviet Union in the 1975-1985 timeframe. It was used for agricultural activities by state-run Aeroflot.
It consisted of a small runway, and a medium sized platform halfway and to the northeast of the runway.
No photos of the airfield while in use have been located
My Airfields only lists the airfield, without any further comment on its state. It is possible that the airfield is not available for any flights or only with proper authorisation because of the proximity of the border with neighbouring Belarus.
Thaw appears to be around the corner in this March 2011 overview of Indra airfield (Google Earth).
This summer 2014 overview clearly demonstrates the airfield is no longer used, as proven by the trees along the edge of the runway (Google Earth)
