Air field Jonava East was an emergency (wartime) airfield north of Jonava air base,
The airfield was 'built' by the Soviet Air Force as part of the Jonava military complex. Little more than a prepared flat surface in a forest, it consisted of a single grass runway and fairly extensive parking facilities.

No photos or maps of the airfield while in use have been located

It is not known if the airfield was ever used. The Russians left in 1993, and maintenance has since stopped. Slowly trees are beginning to reappear on the field, as can be seen from aerial photography.
