Joniskis airfield (also known as Medginai airfield) is an abandoned airfield 200 kilometers north-northwest of Riga, Latvia.
The airfield was built by the Soviet Union in the 1975-1985 timeframe.
The airfield was built by order of the Lithuanian SSR (a state within the Soviet Union) Council of Ministers in the 1975-1985 timeframe.
It consisted of a runway and a small taxiway/platform to the northwest of the runway.


No photos have been located


From what can be seen in Google Earth the airfield is abandoned.
There appears to be a buildings at the end of the taxiway/platform.
The airfield is uncertified and therefore officially closed to all traffic.
