Mālpils air field (ICAO: EVMP) was an airfield 52 kilometers east of Riga, Latvia.
The airfield was built by the Soviet Union in the 1975-1985 timeframe and used for agricultural activities by state-run Aeroflot. It consisted of a small runway, taxiways and two small and one larger platforms halfway and to the west of the runway. Unlike many of its contemporaries, the airfield was not abandoned after Latvia's independence from the Soviet Union.

No photos of the airfield while in use have been located

Latvian Airfields described the airfields condition in 2010 as 'good', a description that was initially taken over by MyAirfields:
Thanks to its good condition and lack of obstacles, this is one of the rare 400m-airfields, that is being occasionally used by GA traffic.
Still under "uncertified" status, however there are intentions to certify it, even some basic runway markings have been painted.
MyAirfields updated the description in October 2012:
WARNING: Masts (~10-15m high) have been erected ~50m from THR RWY36 on the RWY centerline restricting landings on RWY36 and takeoffs RWY18. Do not attempt to land!!! Airfield can not be used for takeoffs and landings.

The airfield is owned by the local municipality and officially closed to all taffic, although some traffic had been permitted.
The airfield appears to be relatively intact, although the hangar-like building at the platform appears to be little more than a skeleton.
