Medovnitsa air field (Bulgarian: Медовница) was an airfield 110 kilometers north of Sofia.
The airfield was built by the Bulgarian Socialist government, presumably in the 1970s. It was used for agricultural activities, a.k.a. 'cropdusting'.
It consisted of a small runway and a small platform to the south of the runway.
No photos of the airfield while in use have been located
The airfield fell into disuse after Eastern Block countries faced severe economic challenges after the Cold War ended. In aerial photography from 2014 debris can be seen on the northern end of the runway and over the platform.
The airfield appeared recognisable, but in a deteriorated shape in aerial photography in 2014. The platform to the west was almost fully covered with debris (sand?) (Google Earth).
