Paliepiai airfield (Lith: Aerodromas Paliepiai) was a Soviet Air Force Base 130 kilometers northwest of Vilnius.
It is not known when construction began, but as far as I can trace it was never completed. There are some bunkers and buildings and the runway, taxiway and dispersal locations are recognisable in the landscape. While the lentgh of the runway suggests it was to be used as a bomber base, the revetments in the dispersal area suggest fighters were to be based here.
In 2006, photographer Martin Trolle shot a good number of phots at the former air base.
