Reichenau air field (Flugplatz Reichenau) was an airfield 385 kilometers west-southwest of Vienna.
The airfield was opened in June 1925. At the end of World War II Innsbruck and its airfield were liberated by the US 103d Division. At the airfield they discovered an Me-262 jet fighter, coded as White 1 and belonging to JV44 (Jagdverband 44). It had landed there durig the chaotic final days of the Reich. Because the airfield was way too small to support any jet aircraft, "White 1 " came down almost hitting the aerodrome buildings. The Me-262 would never have been able to take off from the airfield. All other aircraft that are known to have been photographed at Innsbruck, were photographed on the west side of town, at the location of the current airport.

The airfield was replaced by the current airport on the west side of town in 1948.
the site was subsequently redeveloped into an industrial area.
A hangar was said to have survived until the early 2000s, but is has since been demolished.
