Sollas airfield was an airfield 200 kilometers west of Inverness on the island of North Uist in the Hebrides.
The airfield was opened in March 1936. During World War II the RAF used it, presumably as a diversion or emergency airfield. Some concrete structures were built at the airfield, and probably some wooden buildings as well. Internet sources claim the RAF had a presence at the airfield until 1960. Although now nothing more than a beach, Sollas is still occasionally being used as an airfield.
