The airfield opened in 2002 and since 2005 it is mainly used by the local Club Arrow flying club, largely made up of (ex-)AMI military pilots. The flying club includes a flight school. The club owns three Sky Arrow 450T/TS (registered I-7648, I-2600 and I-5449) and a single Tecnam P96 Golf 100 ADV.
