Taurage airfield (lith.: Taurages aerodromas, German: Tauroggen, also known as airfield 224P) is a small airfield 210 kilometers west-northwest of Vilnius.
The airfield was built on the site of a wartime Soviet airfield by the same name.
I was unable to trace the history of that airfield however.
The airfield was built by order of the Lithuanian SSR (a state within the Soviet Union) Council of Ministers in 1983.
It was taken into service on 9 September 1983.
It was used for agricultural activities by state-run Aeroflot.
It consisted of a small runway and a fairly large platform to the north of the runway.
After Lithuanian independence the airfield was abandoned.

Around 2005 the airfield was reactivated.
The airfield was cleaned up and a new hangar/clubhouse was built.
On 8 December 2010 the airfield was officially reopened after it gained its aerodrome Cat. 1A certificate.
The airfield is used by about 15 ultralight aircraft of the local Taurage Aero Club (Taurages aeroklubas).
Their current plans includes a 200m runway extension.
