Vilkaviškis air field (possibly also known as Giedriai airfield) is an abandoned airfield 140 kilometers west of Vilnius.
The airfield was built by the Soviet Union in the 1975-1985 timeframe. It was used for agricultural activities by state-run Aeroflot. It consisted of a small runway, connected to medium sized platforms by taxitracks. After Lithuanian independence in 1990 the airfield was abandoned.

No photos of the airfield while in use have been located

Until at least 2011 the airfield remained in a reasonable state. From aerial photography (Google Earth) the runway seemed to be in a usable state, although the main platform was occupied by either trailers or shipping containers. Although the airfield is located on the edge of an industrial zone, the runway and the southern platform remained unoccupied. That situation had changed by 2014 however: the runway of the airfield had largely become covered in dirt and was no longer usable in any way.
